- Mrs. Myrtle M. Wertz, 82, Winchester Road, died Monday at the Cumberland Nursing Home where she was admitted March 11. She had been in failing health several years. Born at Rawlings, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Susie G. (Benn) McKenzie. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hoffman Llewellyn. Surviving are her husband, Walter W. Wertz; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel M. Umstot, Short Gap, and Mrs. Catherine A. Adams, Fort Ashby: two sons, Herbert M. Llewellyn, Springfield, and Milton W. Wertz, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Blauch, Short Gap, and Mrs. Alice Blauch, Pinto; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of the LaVale Mennonite Church and was formerly active in the Pinto Mennonite Church, where she had been Sunday School teacher 18 years and had been secretary-treasurer of the school. The body is at the George Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted at LaVale Mennonite Church tomorrow at 2 p.m. Rev. Curtis Godshall and Rev. Charles Shetler will officiate. Interment will be in Pinto Mennonite Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
