- Austin 0. Fortney, 79, died last night at his home in Jane Frazier Village following an illness of three years. Born in Preston County, W. Va., a son of the late Jacob and Ethelinda Fortney. he had lived here since ' 1945. Mr. Fortney was a former employe of the Western Maryland Railway Company and was a retired custodian at West Side SchooL He held membership in The Centre Street Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Olive (McKenzie) Fortney; two sons, Raymond Fortney, at home, and Austin J. Forlney, Luke; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Delawder, this city, and Mrs. Margaret Byers and Mrs. Betty Robison, both of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Corley, city, 11 grandchildren and five great-grand children. The body is at tht Scarpelli Funeral Home.
