She died on 28 Aug 1981 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. Ethel L. Bowman, 63, of Boynton, died Aug. 28, 1981, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. She was born April 14, 1918, in Bakersville, daughter of the late Lawrence and Bessie (Barndt) Shaulis. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Floyd Burke in 1943, and Ralph (Doc) Bowman in 1981, after a marriage of 34 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Sue D. Lichty, Meyersdale RD 4; two grandchildren, Kathy and Patrick Lichty; one brother, Telford Shaulis of Doylestown; and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Leslie of Somerset; and Mrs. Alice Berkebile of Perkasie; also a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Meyersdale Methodist Church. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Bobby L. Phillips officiating.
