    Gender Male
    Death UNKNOWN
    Notes
    • Information that follows is from Kenneth MacKenzie Gassman:

The book that details Lt. Ralph Morrison Colflesh's plane crash is called Snetterton Falcons: The 96th Bomb Group of WWII. I've attached a PDF which describes the book, which was published in 1989, with an update in 1996 (I think that's the update year). Interesting, there is no ISBN number; rather, there is an OCLC number, whatever that is.

      Here's more on Ralph Colflesh:

German jets were reported too. It was almost as though the crew of Lt. Colflesh which had had a rough month anyway now ended July in a final tragedy. Their 413th 42-97262 broke formation on the return flight. It lagged behind for half an hour with #3 engine feathered and with bomb-bay doors open. Then observers saw it break in half. All perished. Fortunately for them, two crewman who had been in Coleflesh's earlier mid-air, were not with him today.

Ralph Colflesh flew Sliver Slipper a/c 42-97262 KIA with crew straggling home from Leune-Mersberg 7/29/44.

Based out of Snetterton Field England

      Was killed during WWII.
