- George Roy Knieriem, 68, died Monday, June 1, 1987, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Mount Savage, Md., he was a son of the late John and Emma (Norris) Knieriem. He was retired from the Mount Savage brickyard and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and Old Rail Post 6025, VFW, Mount Savage, Md. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Flossie (Winebrenner) Knieriem; one stepson, Richard Leonard, Wellersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Della Conrad, Barrelville, Md.; Mrs. Mildred Garlick, Corriganville, Md. and Miss Rosetta Knieriem, a patient at Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home, Oakland, Md., and one step grandson. Friends were received in The Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md. Cumberland Times-News, Tuesday, June 2, 1987
