Born in Corriganville, Mrs. Blake was a daughter of the late Augustine and Rose (Mattingly) Burkey. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Mount Savage and of the Sodality of the parish. Surviving are three sons, Edward Blake, with whom she resided; Raymond Blake, Clio, Mich., and Joseph Blake, Cumberland; four daughters, Sister Mary Gabrielle, of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Baltimore; Mrs. Mary Boyle, Cumberland, and Mrs. George Deffinbaugh and Mrs. George Shaffer, both of Mt. Savage; 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where friends will be received tomorrow and Sunday from 2 until 4 and from 7 until 9 p. m. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Sunday at 8:15 p. m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a. m. in St. Patrick's Church, Cumberland, and interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Savage. The Cumberland Evening Times, February 17, 196
