- Ernest R. Slider, 72, RD 1, Oldtown, was dead on arrival yesterday at Memorial Hospital. A son of the late Charles and Rose (Twigg) Slider, he was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. He was born in Oldtown. Surviving are his widow, Mary (McKenzie) Slider; one son, Jerald L. Slider of Oldtown; one daughter, Mrs. Judith A. Robinette, RD 4, Cumberland; one brother, Marcellus Slider of Oldtown; two sisters, Mrs. Velda Twigg and Mrs. Alberta Dolly, both of Cumberland; five grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel Hills Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The Cumberland News, October 22, 1981
