March 30, 2008 - Cumberland Times-News FROSTBURG — Catherine Maria (Winner) Miller, 48, of Frostburg, went to be with Jesus Christ and her dad on Friday, March 28, 2008, at WMHS-Braddock Campus. Born Sept. 16, 1959, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Evelyn C. (McKenzie) Winner and the late Frederick J. Winner. Cathy had been employed by the Western Maryland Health System for many years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene. Cathy loved her husband, children and grandchildren more than anything. She enjoyed flowers, fishing, singing and she was an awesome cook. She was very compassionate towards others. She is loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. She will be kept in their hearts forever. Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her husband, Gregory Miller; three sons, Jesse Miller, of Virginia; Christopher Miller and wife Jenna, of Frostburg, and Cody Miller, at home, and one daughter, April Miller and fiancée Bo Raynor, of Lonaconing; three grandchildren, Kami Miller, Caitlyn Miller, and Luke Raynor; one brother, Joseph Winner and wife Maureen, of Short Gap; two sisters, Theresa Winner, of Kensington, and Maria Foye and husband James, of Lonaconing; and two nephews, Jeremy Skidmore and Timothy Winner. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., Frostburg, on Monday, March 31, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene, 150 Center St., Frostburg at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Byers and Father Patrick Besel officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Pallbearers will be Gregory Miller, Jesse Miller, Christopher Miller, Cody Miller, William Raynor and Jeremy Skidmore. Interment will be on the family farm.
