- Wilbert E. (Archie) WEIMER (son of Eli W. WEIMER and Linda Belle CHRISTNER) was born on 26 Mar 1911 in Larimer Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. He died on 29 Dec 1987 in Grantsville, Garrett Co., Maryland. Wilbert E. "Archie" Weimer, 76, of Greenville Twp., Meyersdale RD 3, died December 29, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home. Born March 26, 1911, in Larimer Township, he was the son of Eli W. and Linda (Christner) Weimer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, the former Beda McKenzie. He is survived by two sisters, Betty Groft, of Meyersdale; and Shirley Paul, of Meyersdale RD 3. He was a member of the White Oak Lutheran Church, the American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose. He served in World War II. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. under the direction of M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Fetter officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pocahontas. The Republic, December 31, 1987
