- George Daniel MCKENZIE (Royal DeSales-4, George Henry or Harrison-3, Francis-2, John M.-1) was born on 20 May 1955 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. He died on 21 Apr 1982 in Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. George D. McKenzie, 26, of Finzel, Md., pronounced dead on arrival at Frostburg Community Hospital April 21, 1982, following an accident on the Finzel Road. He was born in Meyersdale, son of R. DeSales McKenzie and Grace (Baker) McKenzie of Meyersdale. He was employed by Sperry Well Drillers, Berlin. He is survived by parents, widow, Donna Layton McKenzie, one daughter, Miss Toshia McKenzie, one son, Justin McKenzie, both at home; five brothers, Elbert of Somerset, Delbert of Boynton, Donald of Berlin, Carl and Ray, both of Meyersdale; one sister, Mrs. Hazel McKenzie of Finzel. Friends were received at Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md. Services were held at the funeral home, the Rev. George L. Wehler, officiating. Interment, Greenville Cemetery, Pocahontas. The Republic, April 29, 1982.
He was buried in Greenville Cemetery, Pocahontas, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania.
