- Grantsville, Md., March 16 - Sarah M. Miller, a native of New Germany and a pioneer resident of Garrett county, died early today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry F. Durst, this place, after a lingering illness. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. from the Methodist Episcopal Church, New Germany, of which she was a lifelong member. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crowe. Surviving are three sons, Howard M. Crowe, McHenry, Md.; George G. Crowe, LaVale, Md., and Harry O. Crowe, Grantsville, and six daughters, Mrs. Charles A. Baum, Berlin, Pa.; Mrs. J. L. Fresh, Frostburg; Mrs. Richard Layman, Avilton; Mrs. Cora Davies, Akron, O.; Mrs. Allen Leidinger, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Durst. She was a sister of Robert and Stewart Crowe, Avilton, and Webster Crowe, New Germany. She leaves also 37 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Grantsville, Md., March 17 — Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah M. Miller, who died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Durst, this place, will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from the Methodist Episcopal Church, New Germany.
