Mr. Layman was a retired employe of the air conditioning department at Celanese Fibers Corporation. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary I. (McKenzie) Layman; two sons, Anthony F. Layman, Gilmore; Bernard J. Layman, Glen Burnie; four daughters, Mrs. Angela Llewellyn, Hoffman; Mrs. Teresa Winner, Frostburg; Mrs Margaret Stewart, Cumberland; Mrs. Virginia DeWitt, Fairfax, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Minnick and Mrs. Genevieve Raley, both of RD 2, Frostburg; two brothers, James Layman, Frostburg; Tracy Layman, Vestal, N.Y., and 17 grandchildren.
