Carl Ravencroft, 67, of Lonaconing, Md., died Dec. 17, 1974, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born in Frostburg, he was a son of the late Morton and Cordelia (Robeson) Ravenscroft. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie (Boring) Ravenscroft. Surviving are his widow, Gladys (McKenzie) Ravenscroft; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Cawley and Mrs. Maxine Huss, Dunmore; Mrs. Marian Simmons, Baltimore; Mrs. Joan Evans, Johnson City; 27 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Green, Lonaconing, with whom he resided; Mrs. Beulah Crabtree, Wadsworth, Ohio; Mrs. Eleanor Chaney, Cresaptown, Md.; and Mrs. Alice Bittner, Finzel; and a brother, Stanley Rayenscroft, Lonaconing. Funeral service was conducted Friday afternoon in Eichorn Funeral Home, Lonaconing, with Rev. Evelyn Bowman officiating. Interment in Blocher's Cemetery near Grantsville. Meyersdale Republic, December 26, 1974.
He was buried in Blocher Cemetery, Grantsville, Garrett Co., Maryland.
