    Notes
    • Bureau of the Evening Times. Frostburg, Md., March 1 - Simon Caton, farmer, living a short distance west of Frostburg, aged 31 years, died Friday, March 1st, of black diphtheria. Three weeks before an infant son died. Last summer his barn was burned, inflicting a loss of farm implements, and two fine horses, and about the same time his father died. All these misfortunes have reduced the widow and children of Simon Caton to want. She lives in a thinly settled section of the county the inhabitants of which are unable to extend much aid, so the charitably inclined institutions and people of Frostburg should unite in extending assistance in an instance where it is needed and deserved, and do so quickly. The Evening Times, Cumberland, March 12, 1907.
