- Walter LINDEMAN (son of Samuel LINDEMAN and Susan HUTZEL/HUTZELL) was born about 1894 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. He died on 23 Nov 1958 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. FROSTBURG - Walter H. Lindeman, 64, Route 40, Frostburg, died early Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he was admitted Saturday evening. He was born in Meyersdale, a son of the late Samuel and Susan (Hutzell) Lindeman. Surviving are his widow, Naomi (McKenzie) Lindeman; two daughters, Mrs. James Preston and Mrs. John Preston, both of Frostburg; a brother, John Lindeman, Boynton, Pa., and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Albright, Salisbury, Pa.; Mrs. Minnie Saylor, Barberton, Ohio, and Mrs. Lula Schmidt, Akron, Ohio. He was last employed by the McNitt Coal Company, Midlothian, and was a member of United Mine Workers, Local 4904, of Midlothian. He was a veteran of World War I and was a memver of Farrady Post 24, American Legion, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The body is at Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from I to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home tomorrow at 3 p.m. with. Rev. William J. Yingling, pastor of St. Paul's Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Finzel Cemetery. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 24, 1958.
