- Grant Milton Bowman, 84, Salisbury, died March 3, 2008, in Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Feb. 28, 1924, in Meyersdale, the son of the late Milton Cyrus and Cecilia (Garlitz) Bowman. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Clarence, Edward, Paul, Colonel, Francis and Ralph Bowman; five sisters, Margaret Engle, Iva Vought, Genevieve Shaulis, June Shoemaker and Doris 'Este. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth (Harris) Bowman; two sons, Frederick Bowman, West Salisbury; Michael Bowman and companion, Joyce, Boynton; and a daughter, Mary Bowman, West Salisbury. Mr. Bowman was a machine operator for Keystone Lime Co. and a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Salisbury VFW. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Michael's Cemetery.
