- FROSTBURG - Harry (Pete) Winfield, 59, of Zihlman, was dead on arrival yesterday at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Zihlman, he was a son of the late Abram and Marian (Downton) Winfield. Employed by Willetts Travel Agency, he was a veteran of World War II and a member of Farrady Post 24, American Legion, Frostburg FOE, and Zihlman United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Ruth (Atkinson) Winfield; two sons, Richard and Phillip Winfield, Miami, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Sheila Brennan, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Davis, Shaft, and Mrs. Margaret Kelsay, Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Paul Winfield, Morantown, and Howard Winfield, Zihlman, and two grandchildren. The body is at the Sowers Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. tomorrow.
