- FROSTBURG - Bernard W. Knepp, 59, of RD 3, died Wednesday at his residence. Born here, he was a son of the late Philip Knepp and Bertha (Blocher) Knepp. Mr. Knepp was formerly employed in the boiler room at Frostburg State College. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Farrady Post 24, American Legion; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 348 and BPO Elks Lodge 470. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Beach and Mrs. Olive Thomas, both here; Mrs. Ethel Bennett, Eckhart; Mrs. Janet Crowe, Kalispell, Mont.; Mrs. Margaret Noe, Cleveland, Ohio; his twin brother, Vernell Knepp, Forestville, Md.; Harold E. Knepp, Eckhart, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body has been donated to medical science. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cumberland News, Thursday, July 7, 1983
