FLINTSTONE - Mrs. Jane McKenzie Patterson, 65, of 802 Washington Street, Perry, Ohio, and formerly of Flintstone, died Dec. 25, 1988, at Perry Hospital. Born in Allegany County on Dec. 20, 1923, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Mary (Wheeler) McKenzie. Mrs. Patterson was a 1941 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She helped to form Fibre Arts in Allegany County and was a member of the Schoolhouse Quilters Guild. She was employed as an interior designer at the Forum Furniture Store, Cumberland. Surviving are her husband, Col. Charles L. “Pat” Patterson, USAF (Ret.); one son, Michael L. Patterson, Morgantown, W.Va.; one daughter, Mindy P. Henry, Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, William L. McKenzie, Durham, N.C.; and Charles L. McKenzie, Dunedin, Florida. Friends will be received Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Virginia Avenue. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. John Duffus. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery Friday at 3 p.m. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
