MEYERSDALE - Elmer Landis, 80, of Boswell, died yesterday at Somerset Community Hospital. Born in Greenville Township, he was a son of the late William H. and Lucinda (Baer) Landis. Surviving are his widow, Elsie (McKenzie) Landis; three sons, Carl Landis, North Huntingdon; William Landis, RD 2, Holsopple, and Elmer J. Landis, Bedford; two brothers, Roy Landis, Mt. Pleasant, and Robert Landis, here; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Harris, here; Mrs. Clarence Schrock, RD I, and Mrs. Dorothy Castor, New Jersey; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body is at the Price Funeral Home, where friends will be received after 7 p.m. today. A service will be conducted there Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. The Cumberland News, July 12, 1975 He was buried on 14 Jul 1975 in Union Cemetery, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania.
