CUMBERLAND — Cindy Louise Morrissey, 51, of Cumberland, died on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at her home. Born June 13, 1957, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lawrence Moyer and Norma Lee (McKenzie) Moyer-Keller. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Mazza. Cindy was a 1976 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She was a dedicated employee of over 25 years at Memorial and WMHS Hospitals, most currently serving as an EKG technician. Cindy loved family vacations to Ocean City, and recently accomplished a life goal of parasailing over the ocean. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved collecting “anything Irish.” Her favorite hobbies were working in her flower garden and decorating for the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with family and with her sweet granddaughter, Kaitlyn, who was so precious to her. She was happily anticipating the upcoming birth of her next granddaughter, Madison. She was also a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club Ladies Auxiliary. We will always miss Cindy and remember her with love and gratitude for all she shared with us. Rest in peace, Cindy. She is survived by her husband, Michael F. Morrissey; a daughter, Moria Louise Morrissey and special friend Adam Kronfeld, Arlington, Va.; a son, Ryan Adam Morrissey and special friend Jessica Fink, Cumberland; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Marie and Madison Louise Morrissey, Cumberland; two sisters, Wendy Wageley and husband Chuck, Cumberland, and Darlene Saylor and husband Bob, Youngtown, Ariz.; a brother, Wallace B. Keller III, Cumberland; four uncles, Donald E. McKenzie and Harold L. McKenzie Jr. and wife Delores, both of Frostburg, Paul Moyer and wife Darlene, Cumberland, and Frank Moyer and wife Thelma, Florida; three aunts, Doris McKenzie and husband David, Frostburg, Elaine McClung, Short Gap, W.Va., and Patty Shaffer and husband Jim, Southern, MD; a sister-in-law, Jackie Morrissey, Cumberland; a brother-in-law, Vincent T. “Buzz” Morrissey and wife Erin, Adamstown; a niece, Christa Wageley and husband Jason and their daughter, Olivia, Hagerstown; and three nephews, Joshua Wageley and wife Holly and their sons, Zaidin and Mason, Cumberland, Sean M. Morrissey, Cumberland, and Conor P. Morrissey, Frostburg; as well as numerous cousins. She is also survived by her best friend, Rose Lapp, Cumberland; and her beloved dog, Buddy.
