- Simon P. MCKENZIE (Sampson Gregory-3, Ambrose G.-2, John M.-1) was born about 1889 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. He died on 13 Feb 1978. Simon P. McKenzie, 89, of Meyersdale, died February 13, 1978. Born near Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Samson McKenzie and Barbara (Ebaugh) McKenzie. Surviving are his widow, Clara (Bowman) McKenzie; three brothers, Robert McKenzie, Cadiz, Ky.; Edward McKenzie, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Leo McKenzie, Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Gates, New Orleans, La.; Miss L.K. McKenzie, St. Petersburg, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, at 11 a.m. in SS. Philip and James Catholic Church. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Arrangements were in charge of Price Funeral Home. The Republic, Meyersdale, February 16, 1978
