She died on 9 Dec 1952 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. MEYERSDALE — Mrs. Sarah Gertrude McKenzie, 64, wife of Thomas A. McKenzie, died yesterday at her home, 401 High Street. A native of Drifting, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Ollinger) Hartle. Mrs. McKenzie was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary here, and was a member of the Ladies' Guild of SS. Phillip and James Catholic Church, the Garden Club and Women's Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, James C. and Charles T. McKenzie: a daughter, Mrs. Richard Bolden, all of Meyersdale; three brothers, A. R. and Lawrence Hartle, Meyersdale; and Christ Hartle, Seward; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Beezer, Bradford; Mrs. Charles Hughes, Uniontown; Miss Margaret Hartle, Homestead; and two grandchildren. The body is at the Price Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at SS Philip and James church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
