CRESAPTOWN — Olga Burndetta (Johns) Blank, 87, of Cresaptown, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 16, 1923, in Cranesville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie (Wolfe) Johns. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Perry “Red” Blank, on July 11, 1996; an infant brother, and one daughter, Sheila V. Hull. Mrs. Blank was a homemaker. She later worked as a seamstress at Burton’s Clothing Store on Baltimore Street. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to read and cook and truly enjoyed her cats, mostly Persian, that she raised and of course the few strays she took in. Surviving are two sons, J. Perry Blank Jr. and wife Karen, of Georgia, and Keith R. Blank and wife Mary, of Cresaptown; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Blank, Kirstin Blank, Nicholas Hull and wife Lucrecia, Lucas Hull and wife Jessica, Seth Hull, Zachary Blank and wife Cami, Hunter Blank, and Sabrina Ott; 13 great-grandchildren, Lucas Hull Jr., Lilly Hull, Kyla Hull, Wyatt Hull, Jada Shanholtz, Ashton Ott, Logan Blank, Dylan Blank, Anna Jones, Jordan Jones, Gwen Kottler, Sydney Harnden and Shamen Harnden. Funeral services will be conducted in the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown (www.scarpellifuneralhomes.com <http://www.scarpellifuneralhomes.com>) on Monday at noon with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home two hours prior on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
