- James E. "Ned" McKenzie, 56, of Straight Fork, West Union, WV, departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2009, at the family residence.
Ned was born July 24, 1952, at Washington, DC, a son of Paul McKenzie, Sr., Straight Fork, West Union, WV, and Annie James Kenney McKenzie, Lakewood, FL. He was a master mason, an excellent bricklayer, enjoyed working with wood, and was a lifelong musician. He had attended the South Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Ned is survived by sisters, Barbara McKenzie, Arnold, MD, Suzanne Villard, Fairport, NY, and Jennifer Burbank, Denver, CO; brothers, Paul McKenzie, Jr., San Diego, CA, Mark McKenzie, Nashville, TN, and Michael McKenzie, Straight Fork, West Union, WV; a niece; and five nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be 11 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2009, from the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV, with interment in Mount Union Cemetery on Straight Fork in Doddridge County, WV. The Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, April 24, 2009, and after 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
