McKenzie, 78, of 68 West Mechanic Street, was dead on arrival yesterday at Frostburg Community Hospital. A native of Avilton, he was a son of the late Cletus and Martha (Hetz) McKenzie. A retired businessman, he was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and WOW Camp 41, Grantsville. Surviving are his widow, Julie (Lyons) McKenzie; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Naughton, here; two stepgrandchildren he reared, Richard and Philip Winfield, Miami, Fla.; two stepsons, Joseph Brown, Cresaptown, and Robert Brown, Bel Air, Cumberland; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Eleanor Green, Miami; Mrs. Dorothy Evans, Fredericksburg, Va., and Mrs. Helen Adams, here; two sisters, Mrs. Norma Timney, Navora, Ohio, and Mrs. Eleanor Broadwater, Canton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Sowers Funeral Home, where friends will be received today and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. The Cumberland News, July 16, 1977 He is buried with Margaret in St. Anne's Cemetery, Avilton.
