- East Canton - Enoch F. Broadwater, 87, of 8720 Mapleton St. SE, died Saturday in his home after a long illness.
Born at Avilton, Md., he was a son of the late William and Laura Garlitz Broadwater. He was a retired foreman for the former Merrich Coal Co. of Waynesburg and former owner and operator of the Mapleton Cider Press. Surviving are his wife, the former Elna L. McKenzie, with whom he would have celebrated their 69th anniversary Dec. 26th; two sons, Harold of Waynesburg and Madison of here; a sister, Mrs. Dan (Rose) Miller, of Chesapeake, O.; and one grandson. Mass will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church of Waynesburg with Fr. Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
