- FROSTBURG - Julia M. McKenzie, 94, formerly of West Mechanic Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991, at the Moran Manor Care Center, Westernport. Born Feb. 12, 1897, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Janet (Gordon) Lyons. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Brown and Gora McKenzie; one grandson, Samuel Leptic; and one great-grandson, Calvin Wilson. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Brown, Cresaptown; and Robert Brown, Bel Air, Cumberland; two daughters, Dorothy Evans, Route 5, Box WE-22, Cumberland; and Helen Adams, Frostburg; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday. Services will be conducted there Saturday at 11 a.m. by Monsignor John L. Reinsfelder. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland. A Christian wake service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cumberland Times-News, Thursday, November 28, 1991
