January 28, 2000, Cumberland Times-News - HYNDMAN, Pa. Doris Jean (Wilhelm) Lotz, 70, of Bedford Street, Hyndman, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at her residence. Born July 16, 1929, in Hyndman, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Daisy P. (Robb) Wilhelm. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Reid A. and Forrest F. Wilhelm; and one sister, Miriam W. Snyder. Mrs. Lotz was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hyndman, worked for 15 years in the garment industry and was Area Representative to ILGWU. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW 7375, and formerly a member of the Ladies Aid Society of First United Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Harold Lotz, Hyndman; two sons, William R. and wife, Susan (Clites), Hyndman, Timothy A. and wife, Lynda (Montieth), Greensburg, Pa.; one daughter, Lura L. Shaffer and husband, Richard, Bedford; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the First United Church of Christ, Hyndman, on Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Saturday at 11 a.m., under the management of the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, with the Pastor Steven Craft, officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Mrs. Lotz be made to the First United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 214, Hyndman, Pa. 15545.
