He died on 28 May 1976 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. Earl G. Willetts, 71, of 15 Parkside Boulevard, LaVale, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital. Mr. Willetts was a retired manager of Acme Stores in Cumberland and Frostburg, and had 43 years of service with the firm before his retirement. He was a member of the LaVale Rescue Squad. A native of Midlothian, he was a son of the late Thomas W. and Hannah (Whitefield) Willetts. Surviving are his widovv, Agnes (Conway) Willetts; two sons, Earl T. Willetts, LaVale, and James E. Willetts at home; three brothers, Thomas Willetts, Somerset, Pa.; John and Ralph Willetts, Cumberland; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Thomas, Baltimore; Mrs. Jane Douty, Hagerstown; Mrs. Catherine Twigg, Springfield, Pa., and Mrs. Hazel Taylor, Fairmont, W.Va., and two grandchildren. The body is at the Wendt Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ronald R. Winterberg officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Cumberland News, May 29, 1976
