Born November 5, 1889 in Midland, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Bridget (Byrnes) Stakem. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage. A graduate of Frostburg Normal School, Mrs. Lancaster had been a teacher in the Allegany County school system. Surviving are her husband, Gilbert B. Lancaster; two sons, Gilbert B: Lancaster "Jr.", Rawlings; Daniel M. Lancaster, at home; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Donahue, Cumberland; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends wilj be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, here. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Rosary will be recited at the funeral home today at 8 p.m. The Cumberland News, February 19, 1975
