  Notes	LaVale, MD -Mary Helen Snyder, 79, of LaVale, MD, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 13, 1935, in Mt. Savage, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Francis Lancaster and Elizabeth Lillian (McKenzie) Lancaster. She was also preceded in death by a brother: William J. Lancaster. A graduate of Catholic Girls Central, Class of 1952, Mary Helen previously worked at GC Murphy; she then stayed at home for years raising her children. Later, she went back to work at Allegany County Medical Society; then worked for Dr. Richard Johnson and lastly worked for Memorial Hospital and Medical Center where she retired. Mary Helen and her husband, Henry, moved to Port Orange, FL from 1999-2012 and then returned to the LaVale area. A former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage, MD, Mary Helen attended the Church of St. Patrick in Cumberland, MD and was a member of the Classy Chassis Car Club. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry M. Snyder; a daughter: Rebecca Weatherholt and husband Bob, Cumberland, MD; two sons: Henry M. Snyder, Jr. and wife Patty, Jacksonville, FL; and David W. Snyder and companion Kimberly Kroll, Corriganville, MD; five grandsons: Jeremy Snyder and fiancé Kristin Bender, Cumberland, MD; Rob Weatherholt and fiancé Leslie Gaither, Cumberland, MD; J.P. Snyder, Jacksonville, FL; Logan Snyder, Corriganville, MD, and Arthur Mason Weatherholt, Cumberland, MD; a sister: Elizabeth Tribut and husband Tom, Frostburg, MD; two sisters-in-law: Wilhelmina Uhl, Ellicott City, MD; and Gwen Watts and husband John, Port Orange, FL; and special friends: Cody and Jackie Kroll and their children Brooklyn Grace and Luke Daniel, McHenry, MD; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, April 14, 2014, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A Christian Wake Service will be conducted on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Patrick's Catholic Church-Mt. Savage, MD on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
