  Notes	Outstanding LaSalle High School Senior Dies – William Joseph Lancaster, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Francis Lancaster, Mountain Road, Mt. Savage, and an outstanding member of the Senior Class at LaSalle High School here, died this morning at Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday. Death was attributed to pneumonia. Born March 8, 1932, young Lancaster had been an honor student during his four years at LaSalle which he entered from St, Patrick’s School at Mt. Savage. He was president of his class his Freshman and Junior years and in his Sophomore and Junior years won the oratorical contest. He won the general excellence award in his Junior year. He was secretary of the senior class and a LaSalle senior officer in the Catholic Students Mission Crusade. Outstanding as a public speaker, he represented LaSalle in the “I Speak for Democracy” contest, which was broadcast over local radio stations and was a member of the LaSalle Glee Club for four years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Mt. Savage. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Ann and Mary Helen Lancaster, both at home; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edward McKenzie, Mt. Savage.
