- He died on 31 Jul 1931 at the age of 15 in New Germany, Garrett Co., Maryland. Ellis Durst, aged 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durst, of New Germany, Md., died last Friday at 6:15 p.m., from an infected gland. He had been ill since July 4. His parents, three brothers, Raymond, Lawrence and Everett, and two sisters, Carrie and Laura, survive. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev. John W. Keener, pastor of the Salem Reformed Church, officiating. Burial was in the New Germany cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, August 6, 1931
