Obit: OAKLAND - James L. McKenzie, 74, died at the Kiser Nursing Home yesterday following an illness of five weeks. He was born in Garrett county, January 16, 1879, a son of the late Sandres McKenzie and Mrs. Rhoda (Chaney) McKenzie. His mother is also a patient in the Home. He was a member of St. Anne's Church, Avilton. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Raymond McKenzie, Lonaconing, and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Durst, Grantsville, and Mrs. Mary Cochrane, Salisbury. Services will be held at St. Anne's Church tomorrow at 10 a.m. with Rev. H. Hilleary Lehr, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the Winterberg Funeral Home, Grantsville. The Cumberland Evening Times, March 2, 1953.
