- Julius H. Garlitz – Grantsville – Julius H. Garlitz, 66, of Star Route, Frostburg, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Avilton, he was a son of the late William and Mary (McKenzie) Garlitz. He was a member of St. Ann’s catholic Church, Avilton, and was a retired employee of Kelly Springfield Tire Co. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl (Wilt) Garlitz; six brothers,, Roy Garlitz, Harry Garlitz and Herbert Garlitz, all of RD 1, Lonaconing, Patrick Garlitz and Ira Garlitz, both of Frostburg, four sisters, Mrs. Alma Durst, Freda Minick, both of Barton and Mrs. Beulah Hetz, RD 1 Lonaconing and Mrs. Shirley Mason, Frostburg. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Avilton, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Cumberland Sunday Times, April 8, 1979
