May 01, 2009, Cumberland Times-News FROSTBURG — Dale Thomas Garlitz, 69, of Frostburg, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the WMHS-Braddock Campus. Born May 6, 1939, in Garrett County, he was the son of the late Esco Garlitz and Flossie (McKenzie) Garlitz. Dale was also preceded in death by twin brothers, Blayne Garlitz and Wayne Garlitz. Mr. Garlitz was retired from Allied Transfer and Storage and formerly worked for Squeaky Clean. Dale was a member of Farrady Squadron 24 Sons of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 273, both of Frostburg. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandra (Pryor) Garlitz; one daughter, Dalene Garlitz, at home; one sister, Margaret Kenney and husband J. Michael, of Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Garlitz was cremated in accordance with his wishes. A memorial service will be conducted in the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Byers officiating.
