Notes	Vergie Gertrude McKenzie, 82, Grantsville, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at the Dennett Road ManorNursing Home, Oakland. Born Dec. 22, 1917, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Ella (Hemmings) Garlitz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dayton A. McKenzie, and two sons, Dalton Anthony McKenzie and Patrick James McKenzie. She was a member of Old St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. Survivors include seven sons, John William McKenzie, Brian Francis McKenzie, Edward Julius McKenzie, and Harold Joseph McKenzie, all of Grantsville, Larry David McKenzie, Oakland, and Norman Alfonsis McKenzie, Friendsville; one daughter, Agnes Viola Yutzy, Grantsville, and numerous grand-children and great-grand-children. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Shrine, Avilton, on Friday, April 28, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. William Moody as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery.
