Hazel Margaret Wade, 84, of Centennial Street, Frostburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.Born March 6, 1917, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Laura (McKenzie) Layman. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Beal and one half-sister, Alice. Mrs. Wade was the last surviving member of her immediate family.Mrs. Wade was a homemaker. She was a member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, and the Sodality. Mrs. Wade is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul W. Wade; three daughters, Betty June Gable and husband Dwain, Frostburg, Lois Ann Wade, Keyser, and Carolyn Marie Wolf and friend Raymond Clark, Corriganville; three grandchildren, June Gable, Robert Gable and Michael "Ed" Gable.Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Michael's Catholic Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father William Moody as celebrant.Interment will be in the Saint Michael's Parish Cemetery. Cumberland Times-News.
