- William Kenneth WARNER (son of Milton W. WERNER and Daisy Viola WERNER) was born on 17 May 1915 in Finzel, Garrett Co., Maryland. He died on 1 Jan 2006 in Accident, Garrett Co., Maryland. William Kenneth Warner, 90, of 79 Old Blocher Road, Frostburg, died Jan. 1, 2006, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Accident. Born May 17, 1915, at Finzel, he was a son of the late Milton and Daisy (Werner) Warner. He was also preceded in death by two wives, the former Pearl Finzel and the former Mary C. McKenzie; one daughter, Shirley Resh; one brother, Robert Warner; two sisters, Alta Byers and Mayme Griffith; one son-in-law, Albert Garlitz; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Warner was a foreman at Celanese Corp., and was a member of the United Church of Christ. Surviving are one daughter, Wanda Garlitz, Avilton; one son-in-law, Emerson Resh, Baltimore; two sisters, Olive Hartig, Frostburg and Verna Kloss, New Oxford, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; one great- great-granddaughter; two step great-great- grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville. Services will be conducted there Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Kathleen Mitchell officiating. Interment will be held in the Finzel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be great-grandsons. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Cumberland Times-News, 3 January 2006.
