- FINZEL — Mrs. Bertha R. Wagner, 87, Spartanburg, S.C., formerly of Finzel, died Wednesday, April 17, 1991, in Columbia, N.C. Born June 6, 1903, in Pocahontas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William “Butch” and Lavina (Machin) McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Wagner, in 1967. Mrs. Wagner was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Surviving are five sons, Marshall Wagner and John Wagner, both of Bolton, N.C.; Fred Wagner, Danville, Va.; Kenny Wagner, Mill Spring, N.C.; and Gene Wagner, Houston, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. June Dodd, Moorefield, W.Va.; Mrs. Pearl Emerick, Mount Savage; Mrs. Alice Rogers, Pensacola, Fla.; and Mrs. Colleen Denton, Bolton; two brothers, Albert McKenzie and Richard McKenzie, both of Frostburg; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. Services will be conducted there Sunday at I p.m. by Elder Ralph Logan. Interment will be in the Johnson Cemetery, Garrett County.
