- Ephraim Joseph MCKENZIE and Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) WEBER were married in May 1900. Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) WEBER (daughter of George WEBER and Anna DOERNER) was born about 1860 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. She died on 24 Oct 1939 in Meyersdale, Summit Township, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. MEYERSDALE, Oct 27 — Mrs. Mary Lizzie Weber McKenzie, 79, died Tuesday night at the Weber home in High street, where she has been living since the death of her husband, Ephraim J. McKenzie, who passed away in 1911. Mrs. McKenzie was a daughter of the late George and Anna Doerner Weber, pioneer settlers of Meyersdale, and was born when her parents resided in Cumberand, Md. She was married in 1900 to Ephraim J. McKenzie and resided in Pittsburgh until the death of her husband. Surviving are three sisters, Miss Emma Weber, Mrs. Anna Hurley and Miss Margaret Weber, all of Meyersdale. Two brothers, George and Joseph Weber, died some years ago. Mrs. McKenzie was an active member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, and also held
membership in the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin and kindred societies of the church.
The funeral mass was held this morning in SS. Philip and James' Church, with the pastor, Rev. Father Howard T. Miller, officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery. The Daily Courier, Connellsville, Friday, October 27, 1939
