      Clara Breig, Aged 81, Dies in Greensburg; Well-Known Early Resident of Town Succumbs in Daughter's Home. Rites Thursday Mrs. Clara E. McKenzie Breig, aged 83, for a half-century a resident of Vandergrift, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Regina K. Breig, St. Clair Apartments, 31 East Otterman Street, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Breig, widow of George F. Breig, Vandergrift's first fire chief and an early business and civic leader here, was one of the town's original residents. She resided in Vandergrift most of her life, although for the last few years she has lived with her children. Mrs. Breig was born in Somerset county on January 10, 1866. She came to Vandergrift when the town was in the process of construction in the early 1890's. Mrs. Breig left Vandergrift some years ago, first residing for several years with a son, Joseph A. Breig, in Pittsburgh, and later with the same son for two years in Cleveland, Ohio. For the last eight months, she had made her home with her daughter in Greensburg. Survivors include two daughters, Regina K. Breig, Greensburg and Sister Regina Clare, principal of the Elizabeth Seton high school, Brookline, Pittsburgh; two sons, Joseph A. Breig of the Cleveland Catholic Universe Bulletin and former editor of the Vandergrift News and Robert E. Breig of Jeanette and six grandchildren. A Solemn Requiem High Mass will be held Thursday morning in Greensburg Most Sacrament Catholic Burial will be in St. Gertrude cemetery, Vandergrift.       Solemn requiem mass for Mrs. Clara E. Breig will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Greensburg, with burial in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift. Mrs. Breig, 81, died yesterday. Mrs. Breig, widow of George F. was one of the earliest settlers in Vandergrift, where she lived for a half century. She died at the home of a daughter, Regina K. Breig, Greensburg. Also surviving are another daughter, Sister Regina Clare, principal of Elizabeth Seton High School, Brookline; two sons, Joseph A., associate managing editor of the Catholic Universe Bulletin and Robert E. of Jeannette.
