- Frostburg, Md., Dec. 9 — Mrs. Susan Garlitz, 55 years old, postmistress at Avilton, Md., died Monday morning at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. She was a sister (sic: widow) of the late Richard Garlitz and conducted a general store at Avilton. Surviving are five children: Mrs. Veronica Barclay, Garrett county; Mrs. Joshua Turner, Garrett county; Alvin Garlitz, Pine Hill, Pa.; Charles Garlitz, Boynton, Pa.; Earl Garlitz, at home. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Colvin Michaels, Frostburg. The body was taken to Avilton today. Cumberland Evening Times, Tuesday, December 9, 1924
She was buried in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland.
