- Frostburg, Md., Sept. 29 - Enoch A. Garlitz, aged 56 years, one of Frostburg's highly regarded citizens, a resident of Green street, died at his home at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, following an illness of nearly two years. He had been confined to his bed since May. He was an employe of the H. B. Shaffer Company for 28 years in the capacity of a miller, operating the grist mill. Owing to continued ill health he was forced to relinquish his duties last February, and has since that time been confined to his home. About 30 years ago he operated a grocery store on Bowery street. He was past councilor of the Frostburg Camp, No. 7366, Modern Woodmen of America, and also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was affiliated with St. Michael's Catholic Church and other church organizations. Besides his wife, three daughters, Mrs. May Monahan and Margaret and Angela Garlitz, and four sons, Joseph, Cecil, Paul and Neil Garlitz, all of Frostburg, survive. He signed a will on 24 Sep 1920. In the name of God Amen. I Enoch A. Garlitz of Frostburg Allegany County Maryland, Being in ill health, But of sound and disiposing mind and memory, Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. And as to my Worldly estate and all the property real personal or mixed of which I Shall die Siezed [sic] and possessed or of which I Shall be entitled at [the]time of my deceased[sic]. I devise bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit- First my will is that all my Just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor herein after named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by her be found convenient. Second- I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Mary Francis, all money in [the] Bank and all money due me from all other sources to have and to hold forever, I also give to her the use of my Dwelling House and lot and the income thereof and all House hold furniture in said House situated 19 Green Street Frostburg Maryland to have and to hold during her natural life. And after her demise the said property to be sold and equally divided among my beloved children share and share alike, namely, Joseph Elroy, Teresa Mae, Cecil Jeremiah, Paul Horatio, Cornelius Cosmos, Margaret Ellen, Louise Adaline, John Protuce, and lastly I do nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Mary Francis Garlitz to be the executor of this my last will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I the said Enoch A. Garlitz have to this, my last Will and Testament contained on one full sheet of Fools Cup writing Paper, and to this sheet I have subscribed my name, and affixed my seal
