  Notes	POTOMAC — Anna Margaret Strong, 95, formerly of Miller Street in Westernport, died on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Byron House in Potomac. She was born at LaVale on Jan. 19, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Walter E. McKenzie and Catherine (Boch) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Strong who died in 1984; her daughter, Irene Wiltison; three brothers, Ambrose, Michael and Paul McKenzie and two sisters, Regina Manley and Catherine Kelly. Margaret was a member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Westernport, and a member of Court Santa Maria, Catholic Daughters of America and the Westernport Senior Citizens. She volunteered with the American Red Cross for many years. She loved to do sewing and ceramics, and was very creative. She loved walking around the neighborhood so she could talk to her many friends. She is survived by her loving daughters; Margaret Ann Palmer and husband Paul, of LaJolla, Calif., Dorothy Scharf and husband William, of Charleston, W.Va., Joan Sarfino and husband Gregory, of Bethesda, Mary Jo Burkett and husband Paul, of Mount Airy; her son-in-law, William Wiltison, of Jacksonville, Fla.; twelve grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Cessna, of Silver Spring, and Bernadette Browning, of Silver Spring; and one brother, Leo McKenzie, of Fulton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Westernport on Monday, May 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. with Monsignor James Hannon as celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Saint Peter’s Cemetery. The family request that memorials for their mother be directed to Saint Peter’s Improvement Fund, 127 Church St. Westernport, MD 21562 or the Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, MD or Byron House Assisted Living, 9210 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac, MD 20854.
