- Joseph Monnett – Meyersdale – Joseph Monnett, 82, of Berlin, died Friday in Meyersdale Community Hospital. A native of Rawlings, Md.’, he was a son of the late Jeremiah and Sarah Monnett. He was a retired farmer and employee of the Western Maryland Railway Co. His wife Anna (McKenzie) Monnett, and a son, Frank Monnett, preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Bloss, Cumberland, and a son, Norman Monnett, Cumberland. The body is at the Johnson Funeral Home in Berlin where services will be conducted tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Monnett Cemetery on Fort Ashby Road.
