- Emory Melvin McKenzie, 60, of Cresaptown, was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital this morning. Mr. McKenzie retired three years ago from Kelly-Springfield Tire Company where he had worked 34 years. He had been in failing health since that time. He was born August 8, 1900, in Cresaptown, the son of the late George J. and Mary (Hershberger) McKenzie. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth M. (McBee) McKenzie; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hershberger, R.N., Cresaptown; two sons, James M. McKenzie, Cresaptown, and Dwight F. McKenzie, Hyattsville, and four brothers, James L. and, George H. McKenzie, Cresaptown; William 0. McKenzie, Spring Gap, and Francis S. McKenzie, Miami Fla., and four grandchildren. He was a member and past president of Cresaptown Aerie 2883, Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a charter member and past president of Cresaptown Volunteer Fire Company. The body is at the residence.
