WESTERNPORT — Charles Walter McKenzie, 70, husband of Mrs. Mary McKenzie, died last night at the home of his brother-in-law, William Shuck, Beryl, W. Va., after an illness of six months. He was a retired coal miner. Born near Rawlings, he was a son of the late Aaron W. and Margaret Ann McKenzie. He held membership in Pride of Allegany County No. 59, Jr. OUAM, Westernport. A brother, John McKenzie, Westernport, also survives. The body is at the Boal Funeral Home here where services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. by Rev. R. L. Moore, pastor of Piedmont Trinity Methodist Church. Burial will be in Philos Cemetery. The Cumberland Evening Times, May 14, 1948

McKenzie, 70, who died Thursday night at the residence of his brother-in-law, William Shuck, Beryl, W. Va. Rev. R. L. Moore, pastor of Piedmont Trinity Methodist Church, officiated and Pride of Allegany Council No. 59, Jr. O.U.A.M., conducted a service. Burial was in Philos Cemetery. Pallbearers were Melvin, Junior and Edward Shook, Hartzel Funk, Clifton McKenzie and Dewey Sheppard, all nephews. The Cumberland Evening Times, May 17, 1948
