- In November, 2017, Himan Verbovitch's grandson, Barry Bovitch, forwarded the U.S. Naturalization papers of his grandfather to me. They are dated January 12, 1920. The name of the holder of the certificate is Himan Verbovitch. That also is the way that he signed his name. His wife was listed as "Annie", age 39. Himan's age was listed as being 39 as well. The children listed are Morris, age 17; Ida, age 15; Harry, age 12; Samuel, age 11; Louis, age 8; Bennie, age 5, Isaac, age 1 (who is Barry's (and Bob's) father, and as of December 30, 2020 Isaac (Whitey) he is still alive at age 102. The document is located on the McKenzies of Early Maryland web site indexed under Hyman Bovitch. Note that he signed the papers as "Himan Verbovitch". Author of site - Michael A. McKenzie
